Sampling
Respondents were chosen by convenience sampling. This was done with the intention that it would accumulate a pool of the most average shopping-goers. “Average” respondents eliminate the bias of people that label themselves as health-conscious, causing them to be more conscious-driven when shopping for certain health products or ingredients. Convenience sampling also allowed for a middle age-range as the survey was distributed through social media, removing most elders from the respondent pool. Middle age range allows for a pool of respondents that likely have health, but also taste, as main priorities in their eating habits.
